Circle Orboros – The Devourers Host
Una the Skyhunter
Lord of the Feast
Ravager White Mane
Brighid and Caul
Luke again wins the roll off to go first and chooses to take it.
My opponent takes the same deployment strategy as last game, a central brick with flanking turtles. I position all of my Griffons in a central line with a unit of pack on each flank. The twins AD on my left.
Skorne Turn 1:
My opponent runs up, defenders ward on Molik and Tac supremacy on himself.
Circle Turn 1:
Mirage goes on a griffon and hand of fate on a unit of pack and Una puts up windwall. I move up everything to just outside of his threat and wait for him to blink.
Skorne Turn 2:
My opponent doesn’t move too much, he moves Tibbers up to behind a wall and puts Molik Khan in the other zone so that i can’t get too far ahead on CPs next turn. His left Turtle can’t really go anywhere due to the objective and flag so just chills where it is.
Circle Turn 2:
My opponents final words in his turn were “I’m pretty sure one bird can’t kill Molik” So i decided to try and prove him wrong. My Mirage bird apparates forward. My left unit of pack advanced up and put some serious shots into the left turtle doing really good damage. I then primal one bird, and Una activates, primals another and swaps hand of fate over onto the bird that’s going on Molik she then feats and puts up windwall again. My right unit of pack put out some shots doing nothing. I then run a bird to engage the left turtle and one to engage molik before sending in my killy birds. The turtle drops to my initial attacks thanks to the packs damage and Molik dies from the last attack even after forcing 5 re rolls to hit on my charge attack which all hit (Hand of fated 5s) My nightwitch runs to my flag.
I score 2
2 – 0 to Circle
Skorne Turn 3:
Between Xerxis, his glad and the remaining turtle my opponent manages to kill 3 of the 4 birds leaving one that’s primaled. He runs a solo onto his flag and has to sacrafice his Krea as it’s the only thing that can get to my flag and if he doesn’t contest it it will be very easy for me to win on scenario next turn.
Skorne scores 1
2 – 1 to Circle
Circle Turn 3:
I clear the Krea and my left pack unit move up put some damage into the objective and kill off the solo he has on his flag. My right pack get hand of fate and absolutely nuke the right hand Turtle doing over half it’s boxes. Una moves over into a trench and puts up Windwall and mirage on a bird. The leaker takes the nightwitches place after she charged in to finish the Krea. The twins move to behind the pack to get a counter strike on whatever goes in on them. I score 1.
3 – 1 to Circle.
Skorne Turn 4:
Tibbers kills off a bloodpack and the gladiator finishes the remaining bird that had frenzied last turn. The turtle gets stuck in on my bloodpack and killing off two of them.
3 – 1
Circle Turn 4:
The bloodpack engaged with the turtle use their hearts to boost their melee damage and with hand of fate the three of them finish it off. My painted seagull runs to engage the glad while the other gets primaled and then goes and nicks it’s chips. Then Una and my other pack unit clear out his objective to take me 5 clear.
6 – 1 to Circle.
The first words my opponent uttered when setting up where “I’ve never played against Una before” so i knew it was going to be hard for him to play into as even when you explain all the rules to someone there’s only so much that you can take in. He was astonished by losing Molik with defenders ward to a single bird and i think now that he knows what she does better it would be much closer. This list feels very good though, bloodpack with hand of fate are not okay. They just do silly, silly damage. Certainly need to play it more!
