So first thing is the rules are actually free and found here: http://files.privateerpress.com/op/errata/Prime%20Digest%20Rules-2017%20v4.pdf
But a few other things that you may not know and will be helpful is that all the cards are available in a handy app called war room 2 (on IOS/Android). This works on your phone and tablet and is a great army list builder and can even be used to play the games should you not have the cards or want to print them out (again free from the PP website).
Other things to be aware of is pre-measuring is paramount. Don’t be afraid to measure stuff out, this is a game of tactics and skill not who would make a great carpenter from 4 ft away.
Also while initially you should focus on your own rules and the main rules ask your opponents what things do. That’s what makes this game so great. Its a social game and nothing should be kept secret if your opponent asks you or if you ask them.
If you are unsure then just give your opponent your cards and tell that what you do know, while you are new they will likely know your own stuff better than you and help you out.
Also I’ve played many games over the years and this has one of the steepest learning curves. You may begin being “gotcha’d” but once you and your opponent know each others rules correctly it becomes one of the deepest, most strategic games out there.
