Tharn Bloodweavers with UA (Ua’s proxied by Wolves of Orboros)
Tharn Bloodtrackers with UA
(Something to note. Upon rebuilding my list to write this rep it seems as though i can’t actually fit the mist speaker. I must have mixed up two lists that had different support pieces but throughout the entire game the mist speaker did literally nothing. It didn’t contest, score, attack or even get attacked so in this game it didn’t make a difference but i’ll be sure to be more careful next time!)
Skorne – Imperial Warhost (I think)
Min Beast Handlers
Min Beast Handlers
My opponent Luke won the roll off to go first and took it. He deployed in a brick in the middle with a turtle on each flank. I deployed centrally with my battlegroup and the pot and then had the longest line of AD troops in the world (Probably) My bloodweavers without the UA decided to ambush. My trackers prey the left turtle and the twins prey the right.
Skorne Turn 1:
Luke moved up conservatively, respecting my threat ranges. Molik advanced centrally, ready to make use of his crazy threat range wherever it was needed next turn.
Circle Turn 1:
I had the opportunity to get a very aggressive feat off this turn so after measuring out his threat with the rough terrain i move Baldur up, put stoneskin on the trackers, put up solid ground and feat. The stones then port Baldur even further up behind a house to pose a seriously tricky question to my opponent. The pot starts to stack the death wolves with corpses And Caul positions aggressively to deny his turtle the ability to come contest without dying.
Skorne Turn 2:
My opponent answers my question by going full turtle mode. He feats and moves up onto a hill before his turtle puts out a few shots into one of my stones and toes both zones being just out of Ghetorix’s threat range. Then Tibbers, Molik, and the glad all go B2B with the Krea and the Agonizer behind them positioned so that i can’t get Lord of the feast in on them. The right turtle puts out some shots then backs out of Cauls threat and gets Based by some beast handlers.
Circle Turn 2:
My opponent managed turn my question back onto me this turn however i was in the position where i had the scenario more under my control. I can score the right zone by toeing in with my goat and i know if i can take out his left turtle i can score 2 giving him a very tough question. (Note, my opponent forgot to put his objective on. We fix that for next turn) My trackers with stone skin and prey all shoot at it but between the feat and the Krea do very little besides fuel it with rage tokens. Ghetorix is out of range so i put a couple of weavers into it to give it grievous wounds to allow me to pick it off next turn. And the rest run to block and be annoying as he has a limited number of attack in his list to clear out his beasts with. Another death wolf is stacked to 3 corpses and they then move to block the turtle from getting off a charge into my zone. My goat toes the zone and i put up a rapid growth to stop it getting wrecked. Ghetorix body blocks for Baldur and puts up spiny growth and i pass over scoring 1.

Skorne turn 3:
My opponent wants to kill Ghetorix this turn so starts by trampling over my weavers into range of Gheti. He then buys attacks but thanks to def 14, no knockdown and arm 19 rapid healing he only does a handful of boxes to him. Tibbers clears the remaining bloodweavers to free up Molik who then goes and kills Skoll, the turtle tries to kill Caleb and fails but with some decent gun shots manages to kill Tala who only has 1 corpse on her. The agonizer moves up centrally and the Krea Toes the left zone putting up his animi. His gobber chef runs to contest. The little shit.

Circle Turn 3:
I want to get a good attrition lead this turn so the lord of the feast starts, shooting tibbers he gets a port into his back and catches the agonizer, krea and turtle in his arc aswell as two beast handlers. With some decent dice he kills both handlers, the Agonizer and puts some good damage into the Krea. The Ambushing weavers take out his objective and the trackers all take more shots at the turtle. Gheti goes in on the turtle who totally fluffs it and leaves it alive. I decide it’s more important to kill his turtle than to score a point this turn as taking it out will put me in a great place to play the long game attritionwise and i’m already ahead on CPs. So the goat advances and jumps into range of the turtle… he then also totally fluffs his rolls leaving the turtle alive on a couple of boxes. The remaining weavers charge in, the UA on the turtle and the two regular girls on the Krea. The Krea dies but the turtle continues to be a bellend and sits there mocking me. Baldur now shits himself and backs up to outside of it’s walking range and puts up a rapid growth in front of him. On the right hand side my weavers take out his gobber and the pot fills up Caul, Brighid has to run to engage but Caul Charges in with stone skin and also fucks up his dice, after him and a few weavers were done, it too was left on a couple of boxes.
I score the objective
2 – 0 to Circle.
Skorne Turn 4:
The Gladiator clears out a couple of weavers, Tibbers kills my Judo Goat. Molik kills off both of the twins and then repo’s into my right hand zone. The right turtle flails away at my wolves and weavers and does nothing. The left turtle again tries to kill Gheti and again fluffs is and leaves him alive fairly comfortably. The slap fight continues and nobody scores.
Circle Turn 4:
Thanks to Grievous wounds, both turtles are now trivial to remove, Ghetorix moves around to toe the left zone before clearing the turtle and then puts up his animi. My bloodweavers charge into Molik and with divine inspiration and gang they ruin him. Crippling both his spirit and his mind and applying grievous wounds, ensuring he can’t do a thing next turn. My other weavers and stones get in the way of Tibbers and the glad and i pass, scoring one.
3 – 0 to Circle.
At this point my opponent concedes. He could contest my zones but wouldn’t be able to clear enough to stop me just taking them away again on the following turn and by stopping at this point we could get in another game.
This feels like a tough match up for my opponent. He doesn’t have a lot of attacks to clear out my high defence and hard to kill models and even his turtles are neutered due to solid ground denying the knockdown meaning it’s mediocre Mat is suddenly very relevant. Especially without a way around the feat the scenario becomes very tough for him. But i think he played it very well, denying me the pieces he could for as long as possible. I think this Baldur list is very interesting and i would like to play it more but may tweak with it a bit as with the death wolves, twins and lord of the feast, the pot physically can’t fuel them all on it’s own.
